3D MODELS

CSUN 3D Project: Cypress Hall

This hard-surface model  was created for a collaborative group project as part of an internship, where the purpose of the ongoing project was to make a 3D model of the entire California State University, Northridge campus. We first created low resolution models in Maya and then each student focused on one building to create a high resolution model. I photographed this building in particular, Cypress Hall, to use as reference when modeling it and also photographed different textures and edited them in Photoshop before applying them to the model. I also UV mapped the entire building in order to effectively texture it.

Alina

This character model was done in Maya and was an assignment that I worked on throughout the course of the semester in my Character Modeling class. This was a character, Alina, that was based off of my own character design.

Creature Design

This model was the first model I created in Zbrush. It was a creature that I designed to be anthropomorphic, where the muscles resemble human anatomy rather than a dragon  or reptile (although I used mainly images of human anatomy as reference, I did look into what a dragon's muscles would look like). I also colored and added texture to this creature in Zbrush.

Mechanical Owl Helmet Model

This is a mechanical helmet inspired by the Great Horned Owl, where the purpose of this assignment was to create a hard-surface model that could be used as a helmet.

Terror Twins: Environment and Assets

I worked on an animated short, Terror Twins, where I modeled several assets. Due the limited amount of time, I only modeled the front exterior of the house in which the story took place, which is only seen in the opening shots. Because we chose to animate 2D characters in a 3D environment, we applied a toon outline to our models to try to give it a more flat, 2D feel. All assets and environments were modeled in Maya.

Game Design Assets

These are only a few of the assets that were created for a group project for a Beginning Game Design Class. The goal of the project was to create a level design and our design was meant to resemble an abandoned lab. All assets were modeled in Maya with textures and UV maps that were edited in Photoshop.
